Who is SPCASwakopmund
The Tierschutzverein Swakopmund (SPCA) is a local independent Registered Welfare Organisation established in 1970, solely relying on public funding and donations.
Our mission is to provide a safe, well maintained sanctuary for domestic cats and dogs in our care whilst waiting to be re-homed. They are safely and lovingly accommodated at our animal shelter where they also receive veterinary care when needed until they can be re-homed to qualifying persons.

We are looking for our forever homes. We are all well socialized and each of us has our own story. Some of us are owner surrenders, some of the owners never came looking for us and some of us were born here. If you would like to get to know us better you are welcome to visit our SPCA during public opening hours.
Please note we have strict adoption policies and procedures and all adoptions require a home inspection and follow-ups.
